It is clean, fun to work with, but not out-of-the-box blingy. That's the point, I suppose. In order to be easy to work with, it has to restrict you in some ways, and with each release the restrictions get more heavy. I think they could do something to counteract this, like make an option to turn off all the default styles, etc., but that's only useful to developers. It's a theme stuck between trying to be for the average joe to easily customize, and for developers to shizzle dip with customizations.
